Smarter Balanced Testing

Starting this spring, SFUSD students in grades 3-8 and 11 will take the new computer-based Smarter Balanced Assessments to measure their mastery of the new Common Core State Standards. Wondering what these tests are all about? Join SFUSD for a parent information session on Thursday, January 22nd, at 5pm. You'll have a chance to:

  • Talk with representatives from the English, Math, and Educational Technology departments in a hands-on workshop.
  • Talk with experts in Math and English to learn simple ways to support your child in learning the new standards.
  • Take the Practice Test to get a first-hand experience with what the new test will look like.
  • Learn about Education Technology websites to get your child ready for online testing.

For more information, visit the SFUSD website. If you have questions, please call the Achievement Assessment Office at 415-241-6400 or email the office at aao@sfusd.edu
