Each year, the West Portal Parents Community hosts a Spring Auction to raise funds for our many school programs. The Spring Auction is our largest fundraiser, outside of the Ed Fund drive. Last year, we raised more than $65,000. Moreover, it’s a fun opportunity for us parents to take a night off together and celebrate our hard work and energy in making West Portal Elementary a Distinguished California School for our children.
The Spring Auction is fast approaching.
Our online auction opens on Monday, March 9. At that time, you can begin bidding on the wonderful items donated by hundreds of companies and our amazing community. Don’t miss out on a weekend getaway in a wine country summer home, a taste of locally made gelato, or the best seats in the house at an upcoming sports event. Some items are available to preview now. Check back frequently for updates. Our online auction will conclude on Tuesday, March 17. Note that many items will be available online only.
And then the main event. On Saturday, March 21, at St. Francis Episcopal near West Portal Elementary School, we invite you to join us for an adults-only evening out with your fellow parents and community members. The live event will feature live music, free-flowing wine, and heavy appetizers all included in the price of admission. And don’t sweat the childcare. Our GLO staff will provide childcare free of charge for your little ones during the event.
Our more unique items will be featured at the live event, so don’t miss out. This is your chance to make your children ‘Principal for a Day’ or have them lead the Chinese New Year Parade.
